Simple, secure and instantaneous mobile payment works with terminals equipped with contactless technology, and enables you to pay on the Internet and in-store, over and above the €50 per transaction regulation in Europe. Good news: you can use this payment method with your Transcash Mastercard®, which are compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay!
Mobile payment works with a smartphone equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology and a contactless-equipped payment terminal (TPE). You need to have added the card and its data to Google Wallet or Apple Wallet. No PIN code is required, and in just a few seconds you can pass your phone over the terminal to make your payment.
No payment limit thanks to strong authentication, including biometric identification for payments over €50. I can therefore pay beyond the contactless limit in the country where the transaction takes place.
When it comes to security, mobile payment has developed a data encryption system. Your information remains confidential thanks to tokenization – a virtual identifier that takes the place of real data to carry out the transaction. Card details are therefore never communicated to the merchant or to Apple and Google.
You pay no transaction fees with Transcash using Apple Pay and Google Pay. Your transactions are carried out in the same way as those with your card, except that you no longer take out your card: it’s stored on your phone.
How do I choose between Apple Pay and Google Wallet? The choice between Apple or Google depends on whether your payment device is iOS or Android. If you’re running Android with version Android 5.0 Lollipop or later and NFC-enabled, you’ll need to use Google Wallet, whereas if you own an iPhone or Apple Watch, for example, you’ll use Apple Pay.
You need to download the Google Wallet application first to add your Transcash card. This is not necessary on the App Store if you have an iPhone, Apple Watch, etc.
Adding your Transcash cards to your Google wallet or Apple wallet couldn’t be easier! From the Transcash Mastercard application :
1. Login to application
2. Click on the “Add to Google Pay” or “Add to Apple Pay” button depending on the mobile device you have – at the top of the home page
3. The connection takes place automatically and your card is added, as you are already securely authenticated.
